Love it. I'm a huge fan of Caramel sea salt on ice cream, but I also enjoy Lavender Rosemary salt on it too, assuming it doesn't finish my home-made potato chips first.

If ever so inclined, take a peak: www.secretsalts.com

I make hand-crafted coarse, flakey Fleur de Sel salts in Seattle that I sell at the local Farmers Market.

Cheers.

Hi, I met you at the farmer's market today -- I was the one handing out postcards for the FOOD FIGHT movie.

I love your blog!

By the way this recipe looks amazing. I had olive oil ice cream for the first time at the Full Moon Feast in Berkeley a couple of months ago. It was so delicious!

The Full Moon Feast was created by Jessica Prentice who is the person who coined the word, "locavore".

Oh, I've been wanting to make rosemary ice cream for a while, since i thought my basil ice cream was so nice.

However I never thought of combining it with olive oil.. That I have to try.. rosemary goes into the basket next time I shop :)

You're so great at cooking, I figure it's okay that you can't be great at everything...Right? And don't worry, I have plenty of rosemary at my house. You can have it any time you want!

This sounds delicious - I have to try it! Rosemary is used in landscaping down here a lot... Once I even sat in on a cooking class for low income families and the instructors told the students that it was okay to pick rosemary for their meals from people's yards since it's so abundant... totally made me giggle, but I wasn't sure it was the best advice ;)

Wow, that's bizarre. I was having a bad day yesterday (and PMSing) so while I was at the drug store buying Midol (I know I have some at home, but damned if I can find it when I need it!) I decided to grab some butter pecan ice cream. As I walked into my house and saw the rosemary growing on my porch I thought, "I wonder how ice cream would taste with rosemary." Then I thought I was crazy...haha! Well, you've topped me by making ice cream with rosemary AND olive oil. Now I feel challenged. I'll have to give it a try. :)
