This reminds me of my great grandmother's rugelach. My grandma made it for us, then my mother, and now I too am a member of the rugelach club. We use apricot jam instead of strawberry but I can imagine this is quite delicious. During my nephews briss, while everyone was noshing on cold cuts, I think I polished off an entire batch myself. I tried to hock it, but lucky for me they didn't know what they were missing.

I was one of the lucky few that got to taste the batch...And I have to say it WAS the best rugelach I've ever tasted. Most recipes I've tried are too sweet or too sticky (from the jam). This recipe created such a delicious and moist pastry dough with just the right balance of sweet and cinnamon spicy.

Can't wait for the next baking event!
